Terms of service
Plain terms for using bit.audio and the products we publish under it.
Last updated September 4, 2026The agreement
By using bit.audio or any product we publish under it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Using our products
You may use our products for personal and commercial work, including music you sell. You may not:
- resell, relicense or redistribute a product as your own;
- circumvent technical limits, or use the service in a way that degrades it for other people;
- use it to break the law, or to infringe someone else’s rights.
Your work is yours
Audio you create with our tools belongs to you. We claim no rights over your patches, recordings or releases, and we do not require credit.
What stays ours
The software, the site, the bit.audio name and our marks remain our property. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use them as published — nothing more.
Specifications and measurements
Figures published on this site are measured under the conditions stated alongside them. Results in your own setup will depend on your hardware, drivers and settings. Where a product has not been measured yet, we say so rather than estimating.
Availability
Free and beta products are provided as-is, and may change or be withdrawn. We will give notice where we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Warranty and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our products are provided without warranties of any kind, and bit.audio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost recordings or lost revenue — arising from their use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed; continuing to use our products after a change means you accept the updated terms.
